Peter Yeung

Peter is the Chief Information Officer and Global Data Protection Officer at Optimizely, with over 25 years of software industry experience.  As CIO and Global DPO, Peter manages a wide team at Optimizely, including the IT, Data Services, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, Trust, Customer Services and Customer Service Optimization organizations.

His background as a practicing attorney and management consultant has enabled him to hold many executive leadership roles both in and out of Optimizely, including General Counsel and Chief People Officer, as well as other leadership roles in customer success, sales, operations and eco-system partnerships.  Being on both sides of scale-ups, he has entrepreneurial experiences having his own venture acquired, as well as leading mergers and acquisitions of a dozen fast-growing companies as part of larger corporations, leveraging his international law, business development, data protection and privacy, systems, data governance, and business operation experiences.

With time spent at KPMG, Arthur D. Little, ICF International and Mediachase, Peter earned his BA in Industrial Management annd Masters in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University and his Law Degree from the Washington College of Law at American University.  Peter is also a licensed attorney, holding his Maryland State Bar since 2008.
